H3Africa Grants Registration Process

All of the following steps are required if you intend to apply for funding from the NIH-H3Africa Program. They should be completed by your institution's authorized organization representative. The registration process can take at least 8 weeks to complete and can be started without submitting an application - please start now!

Step 1: Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) Number Find out if your institution has DUNS If DUNS is needed, apply online

Step 2: NATO Commercial and Government Entity (NCAGE) Code Register NCAGE Code

Step 3: System for Award Management (SAM) (Replaced the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in July 2012) Register with SAM or update current SAM registration - required annually!

Step 4: Electronic Research Administration (eRA) Commons View Tutorial Register in ERA Commons

Step 5: Grants.gov (Electronic Applications Only) View Organization Registration Tutorial Register Organization
