She is currently a principal medical scientist and the team lead of the Research &amp; Development group in the Division of Human Genetics, where the focus is on the implementation of next-generation technology for genetic diagnostics. Before this she worked as a Senior Lecturer in Bioinformatics at the University of the Witwatersrand.
