As you will see from the note below, there is space for a limited number of participants, but we would like to give people the opportunity to apply, especially those from institutions that were not part of the original collaboration (UP, Wits, UCT, US, UL, UWC, ARC).<\/p>\n<p>Please find attached the outlines for the two workshops providing information on the objectives and outcomes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Workshop 1<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0<strong>Training in NGS analysis<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Date and venue:<\/strong>\u00a021 to 25 July (5 days) at UWC<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lead organisers:<\/strong>\u00a0Alan Christoffels &amp; Scott Hazelhurst<\/p>\n<p><strong>Format:<\/strong>\u00a0Lectures and hands on data analysis<\/p>\n<p><strong>Workshop 2<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Understanding and characterising Southern African genomes\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Date and venue:<\/strong>\u00a028-31 July (4 days) at SBIMB, Wits<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lead organisers:<\/strong>\u00a0Mich\u00e8le Ramsay &amp; Kate Theron<\/p>\n<p><strong>Format:<\/strong>\u00a0Lectures\/Tutorials and discussion groups (computers not required)<\/p>\n<p>The workshop participants are limited to 20 individuals for each of the workshops.
