The African Society for Laboratory Medicine (ASLM) has\u00a0elected Professor Alash\u2019le Abimiku as the 3rd chair in the organization\u2019s 5 year history. Dr\u00a0Abimiku is Professor of Medicine at the Institute of Human Virology, University of Maryland School of Medicine, USA. She is also the Executive Director of the International Research Center of Excellence of the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria. She has been a member of the board of ASLM for the past 5 years, and was nominated for the ASLM Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014.<\/p>\n
