NIH Science Officer for the H3Africa Biorepository Program

Louise Wideroff is the NIH Science Officer for the H3Africa Biorepository Program. Her primary appointment is at the National Eye Institute (NEI) in the National Institutes of Health. As an NEI Program Official, she manages a portfolio of longitudinal studies to examine clinical, genetic, and environmental risk factors associated with incidence and progression of vision disorders, as well as clinical trials to test genetically targeted therapies and other treatments.
