Dr. Oussama Souiai is a bioinformatician specializing in host–pathogen molecular interactions, genomics, and computational biology. He holds a PhD focused on the prediction and analysis of host–pathogen interaction networks and has conducted postdoctoral research in phage protein annotation, RNA-seq analysis, and differential RNA processing. His work at the Institut Pasteur de Tunis has focused on transcriptomics, infectious diseases, pathogen genomics, the development of bioinformatics pipelines for biomedical research and metagenomics. His current interests include pathogen detection and characterization using next-generation and Oxford Nanopore sequencing technologies.
