Mr. William Nyakundi

Mr. William Nyakundi is the Managing Director for Inqaba Biotec East Africa Ltd (IBEA). He obtained his undergraduate degree in Medical Microbiology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). He later received his MSc. Biotechnology from JKUAT under the supervision of Prof. Gabriel Magoma (Director Pan African University Institute for Basic Sciences, Technology, and Innovation (PAUSTI) and Prof. John Ochora. He joined the teaching staff as a part-time lecturer at JKUAT and the University of Eldoret before joining Inqaba Biotec as a sales assistant in the year 2013. The contributions he made as a sales assistant propelled Inqaba Biotec to new heights in the East Africa region as the leading African genomics company. In the year 2020 he was promoted to Managing Director (MD) of IBEA, a position he holds to date. As the MD he has grown the company business throughout East Africa by adding a branch office in Uganda and soon to open another in Rwanda. Throughout his career he has demonstrated that Science is not only a disciple of reason but also one of romance and passion.
